Located on the ocean side of Highway 17 near the hospital and close to the Grande Dunes communities is where you will find the Dunes Club. The "original" home of the rich and famous in Myrtle Beach. Older than the Grande Dunes, it is not any less desirable or lower priced in most cases. Homes here are mostly "plantation style" and have stunning views of the Dunes Club Golf Course and lakes.
3. Carolina Forest
A decidedly popular place to live in the Grand Strand, Carolina Forest is a 9000-acre master-planned community. With about 30 distinct neighborhoods and prices to fit any budget, this neighborhood is a great place for those with large families. Located right off of Highway 501, Carolina Forest has its schools, post office, medical offices, and shopping center. It is truly a town within its own.
